Soop Dogg
Is it just me or is the site reeeeaaaalllllllyyyyyyy slow tonight? It's worse than being on dial-up here! Everything is fine - I've been on other forums and youtube etc, but it's just slow here. Ayone else having problems?

SupraGirlie
I find if you leave it on the home page with the video, then click the tab to load it up again, it takes an age to come up, this is on about 5 different pc's
Homer
It's really, really slow for me tonight. It's been fine for months, but since about 7pm, it takes 30s to open a page (if it opens at all). The site responds very well to a ping, so it seems like a proxy issue to me... Are you on NTL/Virgin too Soop Dogg?

Are you on NTL/Virgin too Soop Dogg? Hi Homer. Yep - we're on Virgin media here. I guess you're probably right on the proxy issue. So annoying as everything else is nice and quick though. ivan
Virgin Media here too - and the speed's shit tonight. I thought we were over all this messing about when they sorted the proxy servers. Looking at their service status page, there seem to be a lot of tickets raised tonight too. http://status-cable.virginmedia.com/vmstatus/summary.do
markymark
Virgin media here too and slow as f**k. I'm glad I will be with Sky in a couple of weeks

Homer
Yep, all working okay again now The service has definitely degraded since Virgin took over. I called their new tech support on Tuesday due to a line outage -they're utterly hopeless. They didn't make any checks at all. I have an engineer arriving Saturday (that was their earliest 'slot') to come and fix the outage. It's their damn proxies that are at fault, but no one at VM seems to know this (or at least admit it). Also, since the supposed free upgrade to 20mb, peak speed has dropped dramatically, I've not seen even 4mb of usage and aside from one torrent download have not seen above 8mb for months. ivan
I tried that - didn't make a jot of difference. It's the same problem they had when they first took over and replaced the old NTL proxy servers.

Homer
Likewise, changing to other proxies didn't help. They seem to have some major issues.
