The solution to the front numberplate

Following my earlier thread:

http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=104602

This is the thread to get your name down for this mod.

The work can be done at ToyotaGT and the kit costs £175. This includes the motor, fixings and in-cabin switch.

Each kit will be fitted to your individual bumper and so fitting time may vary but we are looking at around 2-4 hours fitting time should you want ToyotaGT to do the work.

I will need to know whether you need fitting or just the kit. If fitting is required I can arrange a date/time with ToyotaGT.

A video can be viewed here:

hey i want this and before i put my name down will i have to drill holes in my bumper? its the same as urs do luck? also how hard is it to fit

I'd advise having ToyotaGT fit to be honest - it does require a small amount of cutting of the bumper but the main body of the kit fits nicely inside the nose-cone.

I wouldn't say it's the hardest mod to fit but ToyotaGT have experience in doing it so will make a decent job of it.

Go Go Gadget number plate

Got to be honest its a very cleaver idea but cant really see the point as you say for fitting of front mount etc but you would need to retract it for that then kinda defeats the object really as you may as well not have one fitted i cant see a copper gonna oh my mistake you do have a plate after all

But with that said looks good nice smooth action so clearly well made

I see what you are saying - it's not designed for fooling police lol. It's for shows/racing only. It's so you can get the clean lines of your bumper when you want to show off or get decent airflow to the FMIC when you need it but then drive the car home legally afterwards.

Guest Nicholas

Good idea however I got away with no front number plate for 10 months then sold my grey car so I'd rather go without completely as both are illegal :)

Can you post up some high res pictures of the actual parts please.

I'm interested to see if this would fit my GT-R with Japanese plates. May need to be adapted but I can get that done.

There are options available in Japan but they're not motorised, and have a horrible style bracket.
