Supra meet at the Snowdome...Cool :D

So what bindings have you got Cinches or Flows? I'm now looking to get some Cinches as there seem to be a lot of good pre-season offers on at the moment.

They are switch bindings with a high back (i also have a set for hard boots flat plate type) these are about 2 years old and so easy to use some people don't like them but i have found were are all different and get on with different set ups.

snowdome meet ...would b up for that...and a trip away sounds cool!!

oh this is the culprit for the knee injury in les deux alps

Sittin on ya arse in the middle of the piste ;)

Anyone into boarding talk to Andy - he works for Salomon / Bonfire - great lad too (but a bit of a dodgy golf swing sometimes :))

Chris on here used to be the exhibition skateboarder for them too - and taught the 'art' (humph...! :))

I will come to a meet at the xcape in castleford if it gets arranged. You will; have to put up with someone that has never done it before, could offer me some tips or teach me etc. I will be in contact with you Elmo after my holiday to see what equipement you reccommend.

Sure mate, I'll be happy to help :)

With regard to Xscape, for safety reasons boarders that are not to recreational standard (able to stop and perform linked turns) are not allowed on the slopes. Before you are allowed on the slopes unsupervised you will have to take some lessons to reach the recreational standard. If you do decide to try boarding without formal lessons, you will risk being thrown off as there are staff that supervise the slope and watch out for inexperienced boarders.

You're right, they are strict - an out of control novice could cause serious injury should they collide with another boarder/skier!

It is worth taking proper lessons as like with driving you won't get taught any bad manners.

When learning some find it quite easy to pick up, others find it difficult and frustrating (especially when you keep falling on your arse - Impact shorts and wrist guards recommended ;)) Just keep at it and eventually it will click and it'll be worth all of the pain :D
