Elmo
Quality Snowboard Equipment - Boards, Boots und Bindings - Top - Laminat ( COEX FOIL ) - Triax - Glass - Full Woodcore - Tip to Tail - Steel Edge No mate, I wouldn't. I'd buy everything separately. I would do a lot of research before I chose a board, I'd wan't other peoples opinions or possibly try before I buy. Same thing with boots and bindings as these are important too. I'd go with one of the big brands, Burton, Ride, Rome etc. There's plenty of info and reviews on the net. Guest Nicholas
Lucky git! I'd love to go to Whistler! Ride DH, is this a point you nose down hill / carving type board? No matey freestyle/freeride board very stiff though. http://www.ridesnowboards.com/boards/board.asp?ProductID=
MarkR
I'm off to Val Thorens for my stag do... I love boarding... I ride a Burton Custom X (the black one from 2 or 3 years ago). All over good board, nice pop, medium stiffness, enough to do both freestyle and freeride, although I'd prefer something softer for the park... I've been all over... US - Jackson hole.. Canada - whistler - a few times.. france countless times...

Like I said earlier, I'm going to Meribel which shares the three Valleys with Val Thoren, looks like one hell of a playground Jackson hole eh, I've heard there are some scary double blacks there, a bit too screy for me mate! MarkR
Jackson was the most hardcore awesome experience. If you like speed with big drops and hard turns, then this is your playground... loads for beginners too, complete with the cowboy town and elks roaming around macdonalds... I'm there (VThorens) early this year before I get married so i'll be there in december 8-15.. hopefully they have snow but it is very high up... and cold as balls... JonW
I've been skiing for about 15 years, normally go to Tignes (top resort) Have also been to Arinsal, Soll, and Val D'sere. Soll has the best runs of all the resorts I've been too but it doesn't get enough snow these days:-( I've just started to learn to board with my girlfriend. So far finding boarding a lot more fun than skiing and the transition from skis to board isn't too bad. Going on my first boarding holiday in March. We're going to Meribel. Hoping to have the boarding basics nailed by then. I'm not even taking my skis with me:-)

My brother was a skier and when we went to Tignes in Jan, he tried boarding for the last few days and hasn't looked back. When in March do you goto Meribel, we go 9th March? CraigGilchrist
I've been boarding about as long as I've had the Supra. But that's less than a year... Edinburgh has the longest dry slope in Europe, or so I'm told, up at Hillend, so I've yet to be on snow, but hoping to get up to Canada later in the year/early next year. I've a mate up in Montreal at the moment, and he's into his boarding so might make a good excuse.

Keep getting told I should head out there, but it's a bit of a way to go for a couple of hours boarding. Good excuse to get the car out, so probably will do soon... movistar
COOOOOOL... i didn't even think about looking for more boarders on here, well I've been boarding now for about 15 years now first time i did it they only had boards with ski boots similar to the carving boards they do now! I ride a Burton 158 custom the silver hologram one from a few years back, got a shorter rossignoal for the park/pipe. Iam still a lover of switch high back binding as they give plenty of support and make for more time riding and less sitting on your ass doing your bindings up. Did my cruciate in last year after attempting some air time:( ended up in the local hospital... not recommended either, had the op in September and still not 100%? Would be interested to see if any of you want to go to Tamworth or xscape later in the year?? Not just yet though as I've just got back from hospital tonight after having my wisdom teeth out..ouch i look like a hamster. Oh been to the three valleys you will love it massive area...pray for snow!!!!
