NITO
Can anyone tell me if the N/A Supra wiring loom is generic to the TT ones. Ie, if I bought an N/A aerotop and a donor TT would the engine loom of the TT plug straight into the N/A loom ,swap the ECU's and voila!??! Thanks Nito
JustGav
Sorry chap, the engine looms are slightly different. However the interior looms should be compatible..
Chris Wilson
Different, but if you can't get a TT loom I suppose you could, with persistence and care, modify an N/A one. I'd suggest it far safer and easier to get a TT loom though. I know Nissan have deleted a lot of loom parts for Skylines, if you are thinking of a new one it may be prudent to check price and availability from Toyota these days, either may hide nasty surprises ;(
jim_supra
Yes, you can do that, there will be only one connector you will have to change. That is one of the two connectors that goes to the fuse box in the engine bay, and you just change it for the one from the NA loom.
NITO
Thanks Guys, So Jim, the loom that goes through the bulkhead is essentially the same is it? So the TT loom for the engine would just need one of the fuse box plugs changing. What if I used a TT fusebox? Worst case I could transfer the donor loom but it starts to become a lot of work. I'd like to get a late Aerotop N/A in grey and convert it to a manual Turbo. I'd like to get a proper subtle weld in cage so maybe all the dash etc would need to come out anyway! Thanks for the feedback. Does anyone know if all the wishbones, steering rack and hubs are the same between the two, I'd imagine they are and just the shocks/brakes differ? Cheers Nito
JODY T
No, The Engine loom is completly different! For a start the TT engine runs coilpacks and two turbos... where on the NA loom could you plug all this lot into? nowhere.. You could modify a loom but its just not worth the hassle, plus if you dont do it correctly and it doesnt work, youll have a momoth task sorting it in the car! Bite the bullet bud and by a TT loom... Cheers Nito The wishbones, Rack and Hubs (If Car has ABS) are the same, The Anti roll bars are diff, so is the suspension.. Brakes could be the same depends if they are jspec or UK.. JODY T
However the interior looms should be compatible.. They plug straight in

Maybe not the case as i can't find the wiring loom for my active spoiler in the car , though i have found the one under the drivers side headlight
JustGav
They plug straight in hehehe, it did on mine, but the way this place is at times, I'd hate to say it did, and someone come online in 2017 claiming that I was wrong and the car went up in flames, so I include a disclaimer *grin*

Do you have ABS? IT seems most that have abs have the active spoiler loom and via versa, However thats the car loom and will be unaffected if you use a TT engine loom to plug into..
