Leeky
Hi peep's Just need to ask two quick questions. What is rated as being the best (road legal) off-the shelf exhaust system for the mk4tt? I know the HKS Super Dragger is slightly bigger than the Blitz Nur-Spec R - but i hear that the Blitz system is straighter and this makes it a much better system. Also whats the deal with decats? I used to have a decat on my ST205 so i know the gains (and the illegality;) ) but cuz the Supra has 2 cats can i remove just one and get it through the MOT still? Or should i just bite down and ditch both? Cheers
Guest Usmann A
UK spec= Id ditch both. Jap spec=Keep 2nd one or ditch both and get restritor ring. All IMO. HTH

Sharpie
I have two of CW's decat pipes and HKS Hiper and that made a big difference to the car The Super Dragger is mild steel where as the NUR is full S/Steel

Is there one big pipe i can buy to do both or is it going to have to be two decat pipes? Do you have to put the cats back in for your MOT? BTW i see your a Reading'er too, how come i havent seen you around? Im usually the only UK Spec Supra that turns up to the local meets
Sharpie
You could have an exhaust from the following: Apex-i Blitz HKS Veilside Greddy Amuse RSR Tanabe I'm sure there are more.... OR you can get a custom one done which, would be cheaper - non make. This page might help http://www.envyperformance.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.list&cat=19 and select your car from the drop down box. Any of the traders can provide these for you. Sharpie
If you get two pipes then you only need to fit one of the cats back in for testing time If you have one big pipe then, you have to fit both back in. My car has been off the road for a while so, I have only been to 1 of the monthly (B&Q) meets If you want to listern to a decatted HKS Hiper just let me know. Sharpie
Also..... If you plan to do any track days then you might want to buy an exhaust with a silencer to reduce the dB (A) as some places have a limit.
LeeT
and if you want to hear a decatted nur spec, i will be along to the next reading(b&q) meet:thumbs:
Leeky
Cool stuff people, thanks for all the advice. Im a firm believer in the quality of Blitz products so i'll go for the Nur Spec R, just need to decide now whether to get the Blitz 2nd cat replacement pipe and a 1st cat replacement pip of another make or get the two envy decat pipes:blink: Looking forward to hearing both systems at the next Reading meet
The Hornet
I have the Blitz NUR Spec R and it sounds great, you also get a baffle which just slots and bolts in the end to make it a little more quiet if needed Grant
