Bob
But if it's an Aristo engine and Aristo ECU - why is there a spare plug socket on the ECU / missing plug from the engine?

Guest supraluver
if its not supe engine than what is it is there any deffrences between it and the 2jz-gte ''power-parts'' ?? will the 6 speed getrag fit on that thing ?
Ian C
It's a Supra NA ECU and probably an Aristo engine + loom. The ECU is no use at all for that engine, and you won't be able to use a MkIV TT ECU with it either as the pinouts are different. Just spotted the EGCV at the bottom so it's a sequential setup, GS300 engine I guess. What's confusing the issue is that half the sequential diecast pipes, vsvs, and metal hose rails are missing. -Ian
Bob
So it would need to be the proper Aristo ECU (rocking-horse shit, anyone?) or a re-wire to a Supra loom and Supra TT ECU?

It's the same black and head I think, so the box should go straight on. The turbos and sequential system should be similar although you are missing some parts. The intake side is different though. Not sure about accessory mounts or engine mounts, that's for the more experienced Aristo owners to help you with Depends on how much of the engine you need, if it's block and head you are sorted. You'll need a different loom though unless you get an Aristo ECU. -Ian
Jake
How do you work out that it's a NA ECU Ian?
Ian C
Cos it says 2JZ-GE on it and has the 3 standard sockets. Erk I went back to look and I think that's a GT not a GE, so no idea then
Jake
It says GT though rather than GE My stock VVTi TT ecu also said GT on it, I believe that's normal.
Ian C
Aha I think it's an Aristo ECU after all then, pardon my mistake. The missing plug off the ECU isn't part of the engine loom per se, it does all the other stuff - power, ground, autobox comms, fuel pump control, cruise control, diagnostics port etc. All the stuff that is "rest of car" and not "engine" hence it not being there in the picture. I guess the big fat connector is for a.n.other ECU that the Aristo has which we don't. Possibly the autobox ECU as it gets a fair few feeds from the engine to control it. -Ian

Yup, my bad, I didn't look at the closeup shot, just the long range one.

dini_the_owl
hi mate, thats the aristo main plug, would come with the 2jz aristo tt,its alot of work to mod believe me get a supra loom, ecu will work ok but id get the supra ecu aswell,i may have one here if required ariso or tt one. andy
dini_the_owl
fyi 2 main differences in aristo asthetics are Bov is located different on pipework and secondly there is no outlet on the top of the plenium chamber, loom is obvious as you can see from pics, big grey connector and no E10 connector on ecu. Everything else like alternator aircon etc fits from a std tt as they are the same, only the water pump was different on mine as some of the motors used a different fan setup, but again a tt one is direct bolt on( cant see yours in pics to tell) hope this helps p.s check engine mounts and legs aswell as the some aristo's used the trd style mounts with different(smaller) legs, upload a pic and i can tell you.
