tomssupra
Hi, Whats the best way to cover the holes left after removing the spolier? Thanks
Konrad
Temporary you can use rubber bezels from Halfords.
Jake
What are Rubber Bezels? (I've just removed my TRD spoiler, love the new look)
Konrad
What are Rubber Bezels? (I've just removed my TRD spoiler, love the new look) grommets... rubber grommets from Halfords should do. Or http://www.maplin.co.uk/Search.aspx?criteria=RG78K&DOY=9m9 http://shop.comdir.co.uk/Products.aspx?intGroupID=947&gclid=CMesw6mtt44CFQESEgodLnnRwA You will need to use some silicone to make it waterproof obviously

michael
I took mine off at the weekend so the car could go in for a few cosmetic bits doing, looked quite nice from some angles. I covered the holes with black tape to protect me from any rain, didn't look too sexy though
Jake
Mines still got loads of black silicon on there that was between the spoiler and the bootlid. I cannot get the damn stuff off and frankly it looks rather Bone. Still looks better than the TRD spoiler though.

Guest CoolsBlue
silicone at the bottom and filler over the top. thats how mines done. but tbh if i was doing it it fibreglass from the bottom, then the top sand it down till theres only f/g in the hole and bridge it with filler.... VIL
Simlar question, but if you where looking to get them properly filled and the tailgate re-painted (plus removing the wiper and doing the same) does anyone know how the bodyshops do this? What and how do they fill the holes?
michael
A decent bodyshop would weld plates into the holes and then fill and smooth the surface to make it all sexy looking. I'm having my centre brake light and Toyota badge holes filled in at the moment, I'm keeping the spoiler and rear wiper though.
ROCKETMAN
A decent bodyshop would weld plates into the holes and then fill and smooth the surface to make it all sexy looking. Agreed, mine is being done this weekend. Would you really not be bothered looking at some bone plugs stuck in your boot every time you had a glance at her? If someone really wanted the spoiler replaced it ain't hard for a decent bodyshop to re-locate and retrofit the spoiler again. Having my rear badges removed and smoothed just to finish it all off. hogmaw
I've seen very few cars like that, there was an excellent example posted up a year or two back, completely smooth rear end (oo-er missus:d) that looked fantastic
