Hi
I have a 300ZX, NA.

My commiserations :p
Anyone know how the non-turbo Supra compares?

No idea, sorry.

What about weight, power, tunability, handling?

Supra N/A tunability is poor unless you spend a great deal of money. They're around 225bhp as standard.
Also, what are the latest (newest) Supras you can get?
Supra production ceased in Japan in 2002.

It's possible but I've never seen one newer than '02 reg. There's an 02 Supra where I work.

One of the guys on this site has a W reg Supra but his car is several years older than a W reg would usually indicate. Depends what was declared to the DVLA when the car was first UK registered.

Hi! Bo Selecta!

Don't know anything about the 300ZX, so can't really make a comparison. Can tell you about the NA Supe though.

Weight, SZ around 1450kg, SZR around 1400kg

Power, 225BHP (245BHP in later VVTI?)

Tunability, very little, benefits from a decat and free flowing zaust. Strong engine, so nitrous is an option, if that's your cup of tea.

Handling, fantastic I reckon, although I have a very stiff Tein set-up on mine.

I think the no. 1 advantage over the 300 (looks being subjective - although the interior is definitely more polished) would be reliability - they really are amazing cars.

I see you are looking over to the otherside of the pond as well. I am considering getting a Supra as well as my 300.

Mine would be instead of not as well as and I'm a long way from swapping yet!

But don't tell the lads on the 300 board - we'll be lynched!

I kinda feel cars like the 300, Supra and 3000GT are no longer made and haven't been replaced with anything nearly as good (the new Supra looks OK but it's not as good as the MK IV).

I'd love to get the best, latest one possible of whatever sort .. but I don't have the money at the moment.... 'last of the starfighters' to

CAR magazine pulished some spy shots of aa alleged new Supra (disguised) being driven on a test track.

There was a thread about it on http://www.300zx.co.uk

Someone scanned in an article from a Japanese mag with pictures of it too which were clearer.

I duuno if they are real pics / concept car or not but they seemed convincing.

330bhp and 1200kg sounds good but it looked more a 350Z / Audi TT competitor than a real sucessor to the MK IV supra / 300ZX / 3000GT though.
