MRX
Had to replace one of the bulbs in my dash last weekend and was suprised to find the bulb actually had a mini condom like cover on that made the light green. I wouldn't mind changing the colour of the dash to blue, can little blue rubber things be brought somewhere ? If not can you buy paint to colour the bulbs..? Cheers Rob
Tigger
I brought glass paint to cover the bulbs in mine. Works well, but make sure you do more than one coat.
MRX
Where did you get it from ? Thanks
Tigger
You can get it from any crafts place, I got mine from The Range. Or you can just buy blue bulbs
MRX
Did you change just the bulbs in the dash or all the knobs & switches...?
Tigger
I painted the dials in the MR2 as the Supe was already done, but I did take it apart to have a look. All the knob’s and switches have been changed to LEDs. Which give a good effect, but can be a bit bright so direct them slightly away from the plastic casing. I also put rope LED to light up the switches, still a bit green but that’s because the plastic covering is green. But I did paint the map light, under dash light, glove box light and boot light. OTT maybe but its my car:D
