Rebuild advise needed

My only advise is to look here

http://www.linkecu.com/products/engine-management/Wire-In/linkplusg3folder/linkplusg3

Get rid of the AEM ecu and dli pack and buy a link plus, come home with around £250 of extra money in your pocket.

I dont understand why so many new builds are buying these ecu's. They run a badly designed wasted spark setup with ignition modules having the wrong dwell scopes hence needing a DLI. Just to add to this i have had a link g3 lem (£500 ecu) to a supra and ran up to 1.2bar with no break down of spark - No DLI needed.

With a link plus its sequetial all the way!

Money, Money, Money is what our cars cost....There's allways something better on the market place.... ;) I just try not to get into knowing what's better.. Im happy with my setup.. it starts every morning.. i use it every day.. runs really well.. So im happy for the moment... We all make wrong and right choices... Is there such thing as knowing what's best.. .Every part and component is prone to failure of somesort we just dont know when and how....

Ryan, have you done one on an auto yet? There seems to be a real lack of decent aftermarket ECU's that are proven to run the Toyota Autobox and without stupidly high line pressures which destroy it.

Cheers,

Brian.

What are the hidden costs to the link system or is everything there apart from the mapping ? I guess it is plug and play as AEM, does it run NOS, Twin Fans, Anti Lag, Boost control, Water injection ?

What price does an almost new AEM fetch?

Cant belive I am looking at ECU's again ! :(

Don't worry, since you already got AEM use it :Pling:

No point down grading, just because some mappers can't map them. FFS

Some mappers can map them but dont want to because they want to keep their name good and only put their services into something that is reliable and not going to go wrong and take an engine with it.

You may have a AEM ecu and have not had one problem but the limited amount of decent mappers out there for them certainly shows you why alot of tuners dont map them. I know probably the 5 best mappers in the UK and none of them will touch an AEM.

And the down grading comment certainly shows how much knowledge in this area you have.

Motec, link g3, and autronic is where i would be looking for a build like.

But it should always be choose your mapper and let them choose the ecu. If you want dan to map it get an AEM

Because they do not have the full understandings of the AEM and why should they if they have an understanding in mapping, Motec, Autotronic, Power FC, etc.............

Down grading for me is-

Power FC.

E Manage

Link G3 :p

Agree with, Motec and Autotronic.

Very right you are and if i need a Power FC doing i'll use you. :D

The emanage i agree with you on Ash but the powerfc was a great ecu for a low cost programmable unit just lacked all the fancy stuff like antilag etc but the link g3 plus is on par with a motec m600 and is 100% an upgrade for a AEM owner.

Seriously look at the spec of it which i have posted in first post on this thread and your understand why.

Im not going to spend any more of my time going off topic with this but maybe speak to some other mappers out there on what ecu they would choose and i bet the word aem doesn't turn up.

Glad this was kept playful :D
