Snooze
Now, I've been karting a few times at local indoor places and a few times driving the likes of the twin-engines at Daytona Sandown, and usually fare reasonably well. But I'd only ever driven Pro karts. Yesterday we went down to Buckmore Park for the evening racing the Club100 2-stroke karts. Feck me! It's like a whole different game. 5mph-60mph in 4s and 80mph top speed! It's fair to say that I got my ass handed to me complete and utterly. If you get a chance to try out racing 2-strokes, don't miss it!

Chris Wilson
I raced karts from about 10 to 6 years ago, when I won the GP plates on a 125 Open Gearbox kart at Chasewater. They are a secret best kept from others I ussed to be far more knackered doing a 15 lap kart race than a 20 lap race in national F3, but I drew the line at full circuit karting (kart racing at places like Oulton, as I have seen too many deaths. Bikes are far safer on full size circuits, IMO. Try a gearbox race kart, they are utterly amazing.
