Nick
Does anyone know the part number for the J-Spec battery? Apparently there's a 3 digit code that applies to all makes. Thanks.
CJ
I have just bought mine from Halfrauds. I looked through their guide book and got the one with a 4 year guarantee.
osso
I bought a new battery last weekend, and got sextons to fit it with new battery terminals, the battery is twice as powerful as the old one that was originally in my jspec soop! it is just soo much better than it was before! absolutely no problems starting in the cold anymore.. its a lucas supreme battery, with 68Ah and its either 648 or 548 amps at cold start.. cant remember which,, but my old battery was 300amps at cold start.. Chris Wilson
Optimas are very iffy, IMO, in the race world nobody will touch one, they die, abubtly and withjout warning. Most German made and OE Jap conventional type batteries are OK though.

Nick
No one knows a part number ? A mate of mine is back in the UK this weekend, I'll ask him to see what Halfords have to offer. The Lucas one sounds like the ticket though...

osso
just look for a battery with a high "Cold Cranking Amperage" and long Amp Hours.. it doesnt have to be a jspec battery! mine wasnt.
Nick
Thanks Matt. Problem is I'm in Holland and the J-Spec was never sold here so when I went to my local Toyota garage they could only supply one for a European spec car. Not only is it larger in size but the terminals are bigger too. I thought if I could walk into a shop and ask for a battery with a code of xyz then they can order me one... No matter, a mate is getting me one this weekend
