front drivers seat belt (grrrrrrrrrrrr)

The ones I took off were a dodlle to do and george a guy in poole borrowed the front ones for his MOT and had them back to me in a morning so no big job I am betting. Cover the postage and a tenner ought to sort it.

to anyone who's seatbelt is still not retracting, does it retract when you release it from the holder? this is what mine is doing but as soon as i press the release button on the holder it retracts?!

 

i've let the X files know until someone can come up with a reason

I'm not sure I am understanding here?? the seat belt extends yes? If you pull it out any faster than a snails pace it locks?? It is designed to reel back in on a big spring mechanism inside. So what am I misunderstanding here?

 

OK spaz mode read the post brain lol. It doesn't go back in is the problem I am not understanding oops.

that's the one :D

 

BUT it does go back in as soon as i press the button to release it :complain:

 

so i guess the question is what happens electrically or mechanically when the button is pressed, along with the sensor for the seatbelt warning light etc
