time to get the car service whats best

to all you tt drivers out there its time to get the car serviced and would just like to know as there are a lot of makes out there what are the best from plugs to filters and oils and something that want brake the bank.all info would be great

When you say service, do you mean a fluids and filter one, or a full one?

 

The full ones are rather extensive and labour intensive (eg shim check). I think we here can only recommend fluid and filter parts. IMO:

 

Timing belt: Standard Toyota

Air filter: Standard Toyota

Engine oil: Silkolene 15w50 (6litres)

Oil Filter: Standard Toyota

Fuel filter: Standard Toyota

Plugs: NGK BCPR7ES (If you are BPU @ 1-1.2 bar)

Gearbox: Standard Toyota (6spd)

Coolant: Standard Toyota Red (Though CW says any branded ethylene glycol is okay)

Axle oil: Silkolene SYN 5 75w-90

you missed a bit for robs car homer:

 

Timing belt: Standard Toyota

Here is what we recommend:

 

Timing belt: Standard Toyota

Air filter: Blitz LM Panel Filter - cheaper than Toyota and better

Engine oil: Valvoline 5w50 (6litres)

Oil Filter: Power Enterprise - £16

Fuel filter: Standard Toyota

Plugs: Denso Iridiums have never let us down

Gearbox: Standard Toyota (6spd), Motul Gear 300 (NA)

Coolant: Standard Toyota Red

Axle oil: Motul Gear 300
