Guest yoshi_v300
Coolant tank #1, top left of the picture : Coolant trank #2, top left of the picture http://www.lexusvertex.com/aristo/V300/aristov300_knockhill04_engine.jpg Ignore the fact the 2nd pic is an Aristo, both cars have VVti 2JZ-GTE engines. So what's the difference?
michael
Do you mean the brake fluid reservoirs? The Supra engine pictured isn't VVTi BTW.
Wez
The bottom one is also in a Lexus not a Supra

Guest yoshi_v300
Lol, basically I'm looking to buy an Aristo and it has the tank like the non-vvti supra in picture #1. My old Aristo is pictured below #2 with a dif.coolant tank or whatever. Just weird. Just wondered with the difference layout/tank any difference. I'm trying to get a proper pic from seller. Alex
It's a brake resevoir...I'm guessing what you're looking at has a Supra Master Brake cylinder....why, who knows, ask the owner.

Guest yoshi_v300
Ahhhhh...well, that makes sense lol. Anyway, in the top LEFT of the car I was looking at, it seemed there was a coolant tank. Yup, it said 'engine coolant'. It looked empty too, but there was coolant in the radiator. Any ideas on that? Hoping to get photos shortly. Tricky-Ricky
I can see what your talking about in the first pic, not seen this before, maybe someone moved it, the second pic bares no relation being a different car.

Guest yoshi_v300
Just ignore me, I've been smoking octane-crack I'll post up a pic when I get one of the odd coolant tank.
Chris Wilson
The one with the odd coolant expansion bottle has probably got a front mounted intercooler, and they often need the stock tank moving or replacing. The Lexus will have a stock expansion bottle, I expect.
Soonto_HAS_soop
Right, the soop: 1. Brake Reservoir, no clutch as it looks like an Auto 2. Cruise Control 3. Some sort of Alarm? Part of the Cruise? 4. Power steering fluid reservoir 5. Radiator cap, with pipe feeding off to what looks like the standard location for the overflow. The Aristo: 1. Brake Reservoir, bigger car, probably bigger cylinder and reservoir. 2. Power Steering Fluid Reservoir 3. Radiator Overflow tank 4. Gypsy.. Or have I missed something too? Gaz6002
4. Gypsy..

Mystery solved;)
Chris Wilson
Err, I am now beginning to wonder as the early pics were not as big or clear here. I now think you are talking of part number 2, which is the power steering fluid reservoir? One is plastic, one is metal, it's just one of those things, Toyota used different ones... I'll think that you'll find that the Aristo is a bigger heavier car, it has a bigger spec'd rack, this then requires more fluid and a bigger reservoir.
