Sandy-m2
this may be a simpletons question but...what boost should a stock TT be producing at certian RPM in certian gears? Thanks Sandy
Guest Chumpalot
Hi mate, When running stock, you'll get 0.7bar of boost on turbo 1 then there'll be a slight loss in power between 3500 and 4000 rpm. Then 0.8bar when then 2nd kicks in and both turbos are online. Hope this helps.
Sandy-m2
Thanks mate, I'm getting .6 on 1 and not getting .8 on 2 untill very high revs in 4th and above. Any thoughts on this? And what would you expect on a decatted car with a 1 bar RR?
Guest Chumpalot
It's not uncommon for the 2nd to come in later. How many miles has it done?
Sandy-m2
Its done 50K and is a 98car, i get the dip in power and then back up to .6 bar at 3.5k but i really have to be thrashing it to get .8 bar

Guest Chumpalot
no probs. If you want extra piece of mind, give all your boost hoses and ic pipes a check over
Sean1933
May be a stick/faulty vsv thats only opening when it feels like. The second turbo should come in around the same time regardless of gear, so if your note getting the 2nd turbo kick in until 4.5K rpm+ then something is not right. Try it in 3rd or 4th gear and keep an eye on the rev counter to see if the 2nd tubby comes in at around the same time over various runs (ie around 3750rpm)...then report back with your findings. Guest Chumpalot
Thought it was the EGBV that would cause this problem... or am I getting confused?
