Well, it did go in...sort of...

I've managed to get a 42" plasma into my car in the box... needless to say I've had to move the drivers seat forward and for those who know me, there isn't much forward travel left in my seat (being a short arse and all)...

Had to ratchet down the boot which should make things interesting when the spoiler starts with its downforce routine. :p

However the fact remains, a 42" plasma telly will go into the supra in some form (and remain whole).

U buying another Plasma, I thought i saw one already when i came to yours lol

Hehehehe, nah, that was a 46" rear projection which I bought off Dangerous Brain a while back, and it has been fantastic, but now we need some floor space back. Seems a pity because the 46" has done us wonderfully so far.

Hmmm, well I've taken it out of the car for the moment, as I only drove it for 5 minutes from the shop, just to make sure... Can't seem to find much on the net regarding it, so I'm very curious.

mine came in a box that kept it up right all the time with a note saying to keep it up right and the guys hat fitted it said to not to tilt it maore than 20 deg:search:

I got told the same thing, but for a different reason. i was told that if it goes on it's side the gasses can mix ?

mind you this was from a 17yr old yoof whose acne exploded on clapping eyes on the gf.

:yeahthat:

edit: from doing a bit of searching around it seems it's purely to prevent the screen cracking, two pieces of glass with the gas in between, if it's bounced around layed flat then it's very easy to crack.

Yup, made it home in one piece and yes it was due to the glass being so fragile which is good, as I had put lots of padding around the packing box as well..

Went for the LG42 PC56 jobbie.. 1080p input (does 780i/p native I believe), VGA input and all the inputs I need. Seem to end with less wires now that the pc media centre goes directly in, and there are a good few units on HDMI...
