done mine a week ago now and all i can say is what a difference in mpg and bhp .the car feels a lot more lively ask the owner of a brand new golf gti who tired it on tonite left him for dead :D

iit was costing me a tenner to do three journeys to and from work this week i did four and still have some left .

if it goes this good with old cleaned ones what will new ones be like ???

Just seen this thread and thought....ahaaa!

 

Yep, just this minute cleaned mine off and bolted them back in. Cleaned up courtesy of a bottle of tesco's finest lemon juice, two (empty ;)) yogurt cartons and 5 hours later clean as a whistle and bolted back in. Was amazed at how much gunk came off, it had leached around the flanges where it bolted in too :blink:

 

My fuel consumption been dropping frighteningly of late, to the point of getting embarassed at how many visits I was paying at the Shell garage :blush:

 

Will see how it goes over the next few days. another little joby done :D

My car seems to be doing ok since i've had it.... but i keep wondering if she'd do better if I did clean them up lol! 24mpg last weekend which isn't bad, concidering i wasn't hanging around at all... :)

 

Id be very happy to reach 24mpg !

hmmm familiar with where the 2 lambers are but when I jacked up the car yesterday underneath there is another 'lamber' type plug that sits in the exhaust. You can only see this from under the car. What is it...?
