Steve Cargill
That looks a really nice car and a fantastic price. Well done. Good to see you back in Supra land again :)
Pete
You might like to know this too Alex. The Garage that originally had it sent me this info: "A great car is the Supra that you are looking to purchase. We have had the car & sold it 4 times, i have all details on file, but i am not sure i can pass the info on to you ? I can see that the 1st keeper registered was Park Lane (uk) ltd, who specialise in importing this sort of thing. Dates sold & mileages. 13/5/01 @ 34232 Miles 2668 5 months 14/10/01 @ 36900 Miles 20100 25 months 1/11/03 @ 57000 Miles 13080 8 Months 19/6/04 @ 70080 Miles 920 5 months 17/11/04 @ 71000 Miles" I wouldn't have bid that high, was just looking for a bargain. Jake
Alex, Is the FMIC mounted too high? Looks like the top of it is up inside the bumper and there's a gap at the bottom. Might just be the pic though.

Mine was way too high as standard with the WhifBitz nose (and probably most others too). I just got some longer bolts and alu tube to use as spacers from B&Q and flipped the L shaped bracket round at the bottom. That dropped it about 4 or 5 inches or so. Mine's a V spec Blitz LM but the mounts are probably the same. Looks very nice indeed, and an absolute bargain you'd have to say at that price. Alex
Thanks again all... Yes the FMIC is too high for that nose...but the nose might not be staying, it's already damaged and hasn't been on the car very long...good ol' fibreglass and council speed humps eh! Might have to go for a Stillen for purely practical reasons. I'm also thinking about Stillen sideskirts but I can't decide which spats to have with the sideskirts as usefully Stillen don't make any and I think it looks wrong without them! The Ridox kit is also very tempting at I'll not bother messing with the height of the FMIC till I've had time to decide what to do.
albundy68
nice colour, looks like its got pre facelift front wings though, (with indicators on wings rather than front bumper), definately a steal at that price anyway!!!
Alex
Hmmm didn't think about that...that's a bit odd isn't it. Or is it? Anyone else with a facelift and side repeaters?
Pete
Curious. He did say he had the original front bumper, so I guess a crash wouldn't explain that... I mean, you HAVE to have side visible indicators, and if you don't put them on the side like face lift models, then you'd have to put them there like preface lift. Maybe when he fitted the bumper that's what he decided to do? The actual location of the side indicators looks slightly different place to standard prefacelift? Or is it the angle of the photo? albundy68
think ive seen the odd one, and theres one going around with the facelift side repeaters on the front bumper 'and' pre facelift ones on the wings, and that just looks wierd. Maybe its had a knock in the past, and pre facelift wings are alot easyer to get hold of then the facelifts, if it has had a knock its been fixed properly judging by the pics anyway! far
well done lad ! and a fantastico price too ! and what a heard turner she is ! hubba hubba
Alex
Yeah I think (after taking a moment) it's due to the Whiffin front end...easier to fit them than try to incorporate the bumper versions.... I'll unwrap the spare front bumper soon and find out if the bumper versions are still attached. The bodywork is too perfect for it be a front ender... Ian C
Re the indicators, perhaps they were relocated there as the replacement bumper didn't have fittings for the originals? -Ian

albundy68
i had a wiffbitz front bumper for mine and didnt see any problem with cutting a hole for the facelift sides, easyer than cutting holes in the metal wings anyway, maybe it was just personal choice of the owner at the time of the front bumper fitting... makes for an original car anyway... SimonB
Regarding the indicator repeaters, I have a WhifBitz front and didn't want to put repeaters in it because I think it looks much better without. I just stuck some temporary ones on for the MOT and then took them off again. TimWildman has a facelift with them in the wings too, on his it looks like they cut holes in the wing and fitted them when it was imported. Must have thought it was required for the SVA or something.
