Something Broke

I shut my drivers car door this morning and heard a clunk noise and what sounded like something falling inside the door panel, now whenever I put the window up and it gets to the top there is a funny clunking sound! I used to have problems with this door when I first got the car, if you put the central locking on from the inside, when you then tried to open the door manually (after having unlocked it!) it seemed to catch. Anyone any idea what this could be and would it be covered underwarranty as the car is only 14months old.

Thanks

Vicki

do you have the window closing module installed?

e.g. do your windows go up when you lock the doors automatically?.. these are sometimes strapped on or zip tied on badly.

Alternatively your window motor bay have dropped a bolt and be loose.

Very easy to take the skin off the inside takes me about 3 minutes.

Yes they go up when you lock the car and sometimes come down when you unlock it. Don't fancy messing with it myself, do you think it would it be covered under warranty?

No its the person who fitted it.. Beleive me its SOOO easy.

Just take the door card off and you will see it hanging and the zip tie will be hanging.

Just get a new pair of zip ties and re secure it.

If it's 14 months old it's not going to be a Supra ;)

This should easily be covered under warranty. Don't pull the door apart yourself as you could void cover for the part, get it checked by the dealer.

Thanks, no it's not a supra, it is classed as dirty word on this forum;)
