Stevie Boy
Anyway hopefully you don't get anything through the post. I'm sure most of us have made the mistake of exceeding the speed limit, it's just unfortunate you may have got caught.
j80leo
I'm sure anyone could rack-up a few points in a 1litre Fiesta too, if they wanted to! You could still break the speed limits in buit-up areas in one! hard to get up to speed in a fiesta different in the soop slight touch off the pedal and there you go

Clarkey
I exceed the limit on unrestricted roads from time to time I know. I'm abit of a nervous passenger, because I don't have control.
mawby
I'm going to change your poll options as suggesting the vans should be burnt with people still in them isn't very nice now is it? I do agree these vans annoy me though, but then I have to drive along a section of the A4 which is national speed limit and has very long, very wide stretches (and very safe - I've never seen an accident there) of open road and it pisses me off when I see a camera van park in a layby hidden by a bush trying to catch motorists speeding where it is actually safe to speed (within reason) instead of being parked up where it would actually be dangerous to speed like out side schools or in the small, twisty villages. mawby
In fact the other week there were two of the buggers within a couple of miles of each other, obviously hoping people would spot the first one and then think the rest of the drive home would be safe from the little pests. THIS WAS ONLY TESTED BY A FRIEND WHO HAD A LASER GUN ON AN AIRFIELD. but if you want one you know were

merckx
however if I speed, then if I am caught there is only one person to blame and that is me, as I was the silly twat to speed in the first place. I totally agree. whats the point of having a high power supra if you only drive it to the speed limit? Acceleration!

Sparky
I am glad you don't speed Mark. You are a really good person, well better than me anyway!! It's Policing at its best!! Money, money, money although the crime and the issues surrounding it still remain. Just think, if they stopped us all speeding them they wouldn't have any money!! H. I hate speed camera's but you must remember that they're not run by police officers (Well at least not in Dorset), So saying its policing at its best is not really true as actually theyre run by civilians! lol;)

BASHTHEBISHOP
I echo most people's opinions here that they are just a money making scheme except when used in an accident blackspot, outside schools etc. One of my biggest gripes with the vans are that they would not catch a drunk driver, stoned driver, drivers undertaking or swerving all over the road but, you or me can get a fine for 80mph on a motorway, in dry conditions with good visibilty etc etc. I personally would like to see them done away with and instead many more police on the road. They are often able to use disgression (in my experience) and will catch these far more dangerous road users.
