Personally if he can afford it its got to be the single everytime i appreciate this, but Monkey mark possibly has a point re buying supporting stuff and running the stock turbo's to the max, like both yourself and Ian C have done in the past. No real point (for most) in swapping out ok stock turbo's as they will not raise much cash to the single swap, so better to use until destroyed? I'm not slagging any single kit, or hinting at any build quality issues, if you want ultimate power then its the only way to go. Just trying to make sure people go in with their eyes wide open, which is better for all concerned in the long run IMO.........
Matt Harwood
I'd never want to change back, and if I bought another Supra, I'd go single again straight away. After about 5 months of owning a car with a single fitted, I really dislike the feel of BPU'd sequential. (in fairness, I had my car set up in TTC for almost a year prior to fitting the single - That shows how much I like the single set up). As Scott says, there is a big difference in financial outlay, and I also agree with Monkey about getting all the supporting mods done first. But at the end of the day a single WILL give you the 500 you asked about, sequentials won't... At least, not reliably, not for long, and not in this country
MONKEYmark
i think most people get hung up over got to have 500hp or 1000hp bit of a bragging thing me thinks. would anyone beable to say they are driving a 400 or 500hp car im not sure what power mine runs not too botherd myself. i like the stock turbo`s loads. seems to be running well at 1.3 bar. seems lots of people have troubles with stock turbos coming in late or letting go. if you expect them to go its not too bad when they do go. if you like stock turbos how they boost then maybe a small fast spooling single like a 61 or 63 would be a good choice. a single set up does look trick and lots of space to work on car unlike the stock turbos. cant wait till next year and see some of these singles running on strip. dude
Like Matt if i buy another Sup it will be single straight away , I too ran mine in TTC all the time , running till the stockers blow some times isnt an option though , if you phoned me now about fitting a single kit you had allready bought it would be at least 3 weeks till i could do it , so your car could be off the road for about a month all told !!!!! Alex
Why wait for the stockers to blow? Selling on turbos to those that don't want to mod their engine too much is surely more cost effective? You'll get more for 2 perfect turbo's than two knakered ones!

Not really dude as anything over 1.2 bar for sustained periods will cause massive heat , save your money and go single . MONKEYmark
you could take the stock turbos off and all piping and sell them in working order and put money towards a single set up. or you can see how far you can take the stockers before they blow. sure you dont need anyone to tell you what you really want.
