Pete
I loathe Taxis. Whenever I order one it's either late or never turns up at all. Usually I'll do anything to avoid resorting to relying on one, but tonight it's unavoidable. Some of the girls at work have organised a mass work piss up in Shrewsbury with a mini bus from Telford, neither me or Vicki fancy being sober for this one! I've just ordered one to get here for 17:45, what do you reckon the chances are of it turning up then?
edge
I feel your pain! I find it worse getting one home again as they seem to crawl along, look at you then decide not to take the fare. Dont think the fact in can never normally walk helps.
RobSheffield
Lol, i thought you meant ordered as in bought a full actual taxi for a new venture I reckon it will turn up at 7, followed by the usual crap conversation. Got a taxi last night, only to listen to him drivel on about buying a £5000 PC, whilst i sat and thought perhaps im in the wrong job if a taxi driver can splash 5k on a PC
Jake
I know what you mean, they're so unreliable it's pathetic. One company left me standing in the rain for half an hour before admitting that it wasn't actually coming at all. After that I started ringing three taxis at a time and just taking the first one that turns up.
ADL Mark
Probably won't turn up. Round here you order it and wait for it, looking out of your front window the whole time. Give them an extra 15 minutes on top of the booked time 'just in case' and then ring to find out where they are. Then you get the usual "He turned up but nobody was there" routine, then it miraculously turns up 5 minutes later How they make any money amazes me.. Charlotte
'He's just coming round your corner now'. They're always late when we order them.
DaveK
They always seem OK around here. Maybe we're just lucky.
edge
last time we ordered a taxi. It was late as usual so i rang to see what excuse they invented this time. "He couldnt find your house as its one of them new estates". Funny thing is that the guy lives in the next street.
Pete
One company left me standing in the rain for half an hour before admitting that it wasn't actually coming at all. Blood would be boiling! I've been there too, leaving you to book a taxi at last minute at the busiest time. Then you get the usual "He turned up but nobody was there" routine, then it miraculously turns up 5 minutes later That's the one!
RedM
A work do on a Saturday night? I'd only go to one of them if I was getting paid. Overtime too, I might add.

Charlotte
did it get to him then ? You spotted a potential flaw in the story there.
T2 MSW
Can't be as bad as our local firm. They reliably turn up, charge a reasonable price - only problem is they dont like you to put on your shoes or lock your house without driving off. Somethimes you are lucky if they actually stop! Pete
Unbelievably it was bang on time. I had to down the large voddy I'd just poured and Vicki had only just finished getting dressed...for the forth time. A work do on a Saturday night? I'd only go to one of them if I was getting paid. Overtime too, I might add. It was a social piss up. We all get on quite well here. Go Pete I did 'go' a little too hard I'm afraid. The pic attached illustrates the wide eyes and stupid smile that I seem to gain after a few. Ended up falling asleep on the spare room floor as I didn't make it as far as the bedroom.
