HELP!! Throttle Body Hose removal!

Elmo

Recommended Posts

I'm attempting to change the spark plugs on my NA, i've removed all of the securing nuts & bolts, connectors and most of the hoses, the throttle body now moves and is ready to be moved to one side but there a few smaller hoses that are stuck fast and won't budge, I have pulled them as much as I dare without damaging them.

Can anyone tell me the best way to get them off without breaking them, please see below pic...

A bit of advice would be appreciated - Thanks!

Spray the gap between the TB and the hose with WD40. Then using a pair of pliers that have some decent teeth, try to rotate them. Once you've managed to get them to the point where you can rotate them, try to feed a flat screwdriver between the hose and the TB. Then using the screwdriver pry them off.

Worse case, cut them and order some replacements from MR T, unless there's enough length to re-fit without the hoses coming into contact with something they shouldn't or being kinked/stretched.
