Your'e right - It was an over generalisation - ideally if not caste one can be too concerned once you get past a certain thickness os S/S and design. They can just go...

Also - at that price these are nearly 'disposable' anyway?

I 'think' these are the ones - although cant be 100%

GARRETT INTERNALS

WET FLOATING BEARINGS

SHAFT & WHEEL TRIM 64.5mm

COMPRESSOR WHEEL 60.5mm

TURBINE HOUSING A/R .84

COMPRESSOR HOUSING A/R RATIO .70

OIL COOLED

V-BAND FLANGE

OK it is not a Garrett GT45 then? 60mm comp wheel?? What wastegate is used?

LOL, you wouldn't say manifolds were disposable if you had to change them.

Steve get it all here then shout me and we'll look at it. Cant cancel???

Paul, 321 SS is much more like it, worried about their choice/changing of WG though. Need to find wall thicknesses. Also WG design/routing is very important.

XS Engineering FMIC for 1993-98 Supra

ITEM # XS FMIC MK4

We absolutely do not recommend this FMIC. We have had 2 delivered to customers that had fitment problems and XS did nothing to support them or us. Their welding looks like it was done in the back of Jim Bob's barn. Also, it comes with ugly black wrinkle coating instead of beautiful polished pipes like all the other kits

Doesn't seem to look like this description anymore m8 according to these pics - also this has been on their site for years

People can nmove on - also they are all made in Taiwan anyway!

Worry not - suggest you give them a call and request they send you out a smaller turbo with the package!!

My m8 had to fit a spacer as the compressor housing on the big turbo was too large and rubbed against the manifold

Wait till it gets here and then see - you might be pleasantly suprised

You need piping etc - I have the details of the stuff manufactured to fit his - so they (hopefully_ have it stored

well if it has a 61mm comp wheel as Paul says???, you dont want a bigger turbo. As I said, the PHR without cams or EMS is too big.

The Turbine housing looks too big, but without knowing the style of wheel they are using it is impossible to say. The exhaust wheel style and size really helps decide the lag. It needs to be matched well to the Comp wheel & housing. This is where buying from people who dont actually understand turbo's becomes very dangerous.

Anyone we know over here Terry that had probs?

No way will it compete at the quality end of the market (BL etc) I'm sure - but for £300 approx for the manifold worth a punt?
