Hi this is the triple dellorto setup that i have fitted to my N/A 7mge mk3 supra. let me know what you think.

Interesting setup, though i dont know how well the GE wll run on Carbs? are you going to be running MSquirt?

No its not i've had the car a few years now. Am running ford edis 6 with megasquirt v3 which will eventually be 3D mapped with a TPS.

Quite why Toyota didn't spend a few pence having the dash crash bars painted or plated I don't know. OK, they can't be seen, but bare metal....?

 

Strange how the older model Supra seems to attract possibly more hard core engine mods than the newer ones, too. I don't think I have ever heard of a 2-JZGE or GTE on TB's in the UK.

What do ITB offer over the stock setup that would warrent the cost?

There'd be loads, in the earlier days you could sometimes buy twin choke Weber carb' manifolds for engines, and throttle bodies are usually made to the same intake size and spacings as Webers, hence you had off the shelf manifolds for common engines. Now everything is FI there's no incentive for manifolds for all bar engines used in motorsport. It's perfectly possible to either fabricate or have cast manifolds made, but either will be very expensive, and then there's the linkages, air box, injector rail, blah blah.

Ive had a planned build on paper for about 2 years now for a 2jz-ge on ITB's usng these as the donor ITB's

As usuall, to do thngs right, will take a lot of cash - and its hard to justify especially consdering gains vs money. I have a Spare 1jz-gte engine here that i may setup as a HC engine and run ITB's as they will definately favour the shorter stroke of the 1jz over the 2jz

 

Im also looking at custom Intake plenum utilising ITB's (similar to the skyline GTR) for the 7mgte, again, as chris says, purely for increased throttle response.

What i did for my inlet manifold was to cut the flange that attaches to the cylinder head off the old inlet manifold. Then i designed the it on CAD in uni and sent the flange and design off to BOGG BROS who fabricated it./ Cost about £300 if i remember correctly but they did a lovely job. Then had an engineer around the corner from me to weld on a boss to fit the brake master cylinder take off. So far its been a very satisfying build. Good fun i would recommend it.
