Guest CoolsBlue
hey all, was thinking to myself i dont want a colour coded dash, but a clean standard looking interior, my rubbers gone all poop and was thinking of a respray in stain black with a coat of flat clear, anyone have this on their supra? pics would be nice:d Kev
jamesmark
RobSheffield has it in his car, not the best pic. I have seen it in the flesh and it is very nice, as long as it is done correctly. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/vbpicgallery.php?do=big&p=6755

jamesmark
Remember you will need to strip the dash panels before any attempt is made in painting them, Do a search there are loads of threads with hints and tips.

mr keef
if you spray it satin black and then clear coat it you'll end up with shiny black

Jeff R
Halfords do a black spray by Foliatec called soft touch, it looks very much like the original finish.
AndrewOW
Satin black and a matt lacquer would look really nice. I was tempted before I got mine done in a colour coded shade.

Nic
I've found meths or white spirit is the best thing to use to soften the rubber coating so it can be scraped off. It takes quite a few hours to do all 7 panels. Alternatively if you would like prices for new dash panel set, just let me know.
