Havard
I am having been meaning to have my back garden block paved for about a month or so! I was shocked to get a phone call yesterday from my mate to say that they were coming tomorrow (Friday). We have a serious problem with access and can't get a wheelbarrow round the rear of the house without carrying it through the house after I have finished decorating. Over the past fortnight I have shifted 8 tonnes of soil, concrete and hardcore from the back of my house in a bucket! Yesterday I moved 3 tonnes of sand in a bucket round the back and today had 4 tonnes of blocks and flags delivered that had to be round the back by tomorrow........ Some pics of the problems with access!! http://img403.imageshack.us/img403/2200/pict1031ef0.jpg It's a bit tight!! The materials! http://img403.imageshack.us/img403/6122/pict1032da2.jpg http://img403.imageshack.us/img403/9769/pict1033gk3.jpg http://img75.imageshack.us/img75/5852/pict1035rl9.jpg There is 40 Sq metres of block paving, 9 bags of cement. A shit load of paving slabs. I am sat here with a bottle of Stella and can't feel my arms. You can tell I am not used to hard work.....!! Oh and mega thanks to my wife (Mrs H) who shifted a tonne or so herself today just 3 months after furnishing me with a son via a caeserean section.....!! Different class my missus! H. Jake
Holy Shit! Fair do's mate, that some real graft you've done there. I had to move less than a ton of soil from the front of my house to my back garden and it nearly killed me.
Havard
Couldn't you have taken one of the fence panels out and used the drive next door? No mate! There is absolutely no access to the back of the property! We back onto some trees but you can't walk through, nevermind lugging all that shit! Holy Shit! Fair do's mate, that some real graft you've done there. I had to move less than a ton of soil from the front of my house to my back garden and it nearly killed me. Cheers Jake!
