Fifty
Did you all hear about the lady killed on the A30 this morning at Temple in Cornwall? I have just seen pics on the news; it looks like a ballast lorry has cross over lane and hit her head on. I passed the spot 20 mins before her this morning. I also was tracking two more quarry lorries of the same type doing 80 + mph about 3 miles further on. Actually I remember thinking heck there shiffting. so 20 mins later it could have been me; makes you think dont it sorry for the ladies family Rich
Blackie
police may want to speak to you, especially with the lorrys speed

Dave Haggas
Got to say the speed those things do really are a worry. There are a load of gravel pits near me. Makes you crinch when they come towards you on a bend. One of those trucks that carry big skips came towards me ,in his lane,we met on a bend,a huge chunk of rock/chalk came off the top and landed on the bonnet, made a bastard huge dent.Glad it wasnt the Supra or the screen.happened last year. Sympathies to the ladys family, may be someones Mum or wife.

TRD-Rob
lorry should all be limited to 56 mph for safety

heartworm
You should contact the police imo. Likewise. The company clearly has a policy of rushing its drivers
Jake
You should contact the police imo. What would he say? "Some other driver, who didn't have an accident, was IMO driving a bit fast that morning"? If Rich is really lucky they might put a load of speed cameras up round his way Likewise. The company clearly has a policy of rushing its drivers 'Clearly'? How do you work that out?

They already have them, pretty much always a "safety camera" in that exact vicinity, but not early morning. I passed the exact spot this morning and you can clearly see the wagon tracks suddenly head off at 45 degrees , across the cross hatch to the point of impact. I also could see heavy brake marks where she must have braked hard -not nice. I may well ring up cant do any harm I suppose Rich
Snooze
lorry should all be limited to 56 mph for safety Good plan. Might as well limit all cars and bikes to 70 while you're at it.
TRD-Rob
I thought they were..... yes i think there are but i see a lot of lorry going a lot faster
Gazboy
What would he say? "Some other driver, who didn't have an accident, was IMO driving a bit fast that morning"? I was just thinking if the local quarry was removing governers from their trucks. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a speed kills tree hugger, but the tyres and brakes aren't designed to deal with 80mph.
