Guigsy
but i didnt like it so took it off and its been sat in my utility room since. But ive just been looking through the model differences chart and saw "carbonfibre/wood dash cover" and thaught hum... The only ones ive ever seen have been the stick on things. This is more solid as you can see. Has anyone seen this before? http://img251.imageshack.us/img251/4895/imgp0346xr4.jpg http://img116.imageshack.us/img116/2786/imgp0348sp5.jpg

Tom
yep, seen on a few facelifts wanna sell?
Guigsy
yeah maybe. i don't use it. there is a little bit of damage where the pattern has pulled off slightly when i removed it but mostly its fine and on a dark dash anyway you wouldn't see it. I dont think its an after market thing, as the car was totally standard when i bought it.
Homer
It was a factory option on the facelift models. Very, very rare. There's only one other car I've heard of that has this (can't remember who owns it, but it's a regular poster here)

Elmo
I am considering buying a similar "rigid" set (pre-facelift) from Japan but also includes gearstick surround, window control surrounds etc. Look...
Jake
I'm sure Guigsy's isn't the Toyota original item. I've got the optional Carbon Fibre effect dash in mine (and CF steering wheel) it's quite different to that one.
lockys96
you can get full real carbon fibre dash

Jake
Sorry, I haven't got any pics to hand. It looks like stuck on tat but it's very good quality and hard wearing. It looks nothing like real CF, frankly it's a piss poor imitation of CF. OTOH the steering wheel is genuine CF and looks good. I'm starting to doubt the dash is genuine OE now. . . Guigsy
sounds a lot like mine. mine doesnt look like propper cf. and is hard wearing. but if a toyota salesman told me it was an expensive option i would have laughed in his face
