What does that button do with the arrows and auto on it?

Too cold to go out and look where it is, but in a traffic jam today I started to ponder that strange looking button that I've never pressed. It's on the top row with two arrows and auto written on it. Looks like something to do with the fan. It's next to the 'fan off' button that it took me 6 months to find.

So what's it all about then?

If it's the one I'm thinking about, then it's the climate control button. You set the required temp, and it controls the fan speed and direction itself. Rather than you just turning on the aircon and selecting fan speed manually.

If I'm way off the mark here, hopefully someone else can elighten us both. :D

Yep it sound correct to me. I was thinking posting and saying that, but thought I would let someone else first:p

Interesting.

While we're at it, does aircon work for the heater as well? I always thought it was just a cooling device, but then I was thinking that it might boost the heater as well. But then why have a heating matrix?

It also takes the humidity out of the air, so if you switch it on when its cold you will demist much faster. The climate control controls the warmth of the air, so having the air con on won't mean you'll freeze. I have mine on all the time.
