Infractions?

just to expand on that a bit. I see it as a pub where theres a whole load of regulars, some of whom know each other well and some who just sit quietly in the corner with their pint and a newspaper. Then theres the pub drunks who are always good for a laugh but sometimes go a little far. Im the fat landlord and the moderators are the bar staff. Luckily its not a Hooters bar otherwise it could be seriously off putting.

I like to think we are mostly reasonable in our actions. Sometimes we all make mistakes, I know my past is littered with points where I made some serious errors of judgement.

If somebody feels that their behaviour warrants a review of their infraction then Im sure we can consider it. People change over time, not picking on Jazz1 but his first 50 posts were quite quite different to what he posts now. Remember the 'rat in my engine' threads? oh how we laughed!! People change and so we do need to keep adapting and reviewing how we do things.

Hope that clears things up a little.

JB

Perfect.....

Let's sing to the Tune of Daisy Daisy

She was a sweet little vvti

vroom vroom vroom she went

until one day she croaked

and all my money was spent

Now she's gone away

To Jody at Interpro

She will be back and I'll drive like a twat

but hey what a show!

And all in on the chorus

Branners Branners give me a ban oh please do

I want to swear just like Geneb and also be Michael too

I want to wake Tom forever

But I know it's not too clever

So I'll just get my coat and fuck off then

The infraction system is useful to record member behaviour and have a points system leading to banning if they don't change that behaviour. It can also be used as a method of temp banning should the member's actions justify it.

Cheers,

Brian.

Brian, do you get to know when points are placed against your name or is it a moderator-only accumulative system that is never divulged to the user?

They tell you and it appears on your USER CP page but only you and the Mods can see it.

Just go to User CP at the top and if it is not under subscribed threads then you have none.

I tried this after learning about people that threaten physical violence gets a lesser punishment for what I did, I went to a mod and got told matter is closed move on when i asked for it to be reviewed, and I know I have been a good boy(ish) for well over a year. :innocent:

Your statement JB there which I agree with (obviously) did not reflect the response I recieved I did not even get a maybe it was shutters down.

As I say

People change and so we do need to keep adapting and reviewing how we do things.

So if theres a reason to review an infraction then we need to find a way of handling that. Infractions are a fairly new thing in the grand scale of the club so we have to learn how to handle them and how to learn from them.

It may have been refused before as its never been raised before. It possible that those with a perm infraction push things further and end up with a ban so a review has never been required.

If theres a proven and continued improvement in somebodys behaviour then a review should be possible. That probably sounds a little bit condescending but I cant think how else to word it and Im trying to watch American Pie 2 while typing this ;)

Your good twin would register as himself and have his own seperate membership with no infractions.

Please Read the above Michael and it wouldn't be a duplicate account if one has expired

I think it's against club rules to have duplicate accounts to get around punishments, I was chatting to "Horny Helen" tonight and "she" confirmed as much.

An expired account would still exist on the forum, your expired account. Setting up a new one would be an additional account for the same person, some people do this to get around the posting restrictions in place, some people do it to act out another character when banned and apparently some people also consider it to remove infractions from their profile.

I can't see how this can be considered to be within the forum rules when previous attempts to do the same have resulted in the threat of a ban.

You deserved your infraction points, live with them.
