ivan
Try Chris Wilson for BRAKE pads. He does some fast road ones.

Stratty
I want to change mine at the end of the year. Prices seem to vary quite a lot though. How much do you reckon I should put aside for this?? Cheers Si
Guest Chumpalot
£50 for brake pads + delivery or thereabouts.
AJI
BDA grooved discs are pretty good.... from my experience they are less likely to warp over the stock discs. (on heavy track use that is) CW pads also work well, they have plenty of 'bite', but they are quite dusty.
jazz1
DBA i have them 4000 expensive but i was told they are worth it

Nic
TRD pads in stock if needed. Which brakes do you have fitted, the smaller 2 pot front/1 pot rears or the larger 4 pot front/2 pot rears? Post pics if not sure.
SILKYSMOOTH
I just took the car to elite to check the diameter size on both front and rear discs, and it turned out the front discs were about 310mm in diamiter and the rear was about 315mm in diameter, where as I thought that the original spec was 310mm on the front and 291mm on the rear, so a bit confused...i have 18" split rims on the car, they quoted me around £530 - fitted with Greenstuff break pads and just standard discs (not drilled/grooved) also Toyota quoted original parts for £504 inc vat not fitted. and they may not have been the right size in diameter - whereas I have been quoted around £130 for both original japanese front and rear discs and pads - next day delivery and do it myself or order a nice set of brembo brakes from america if they fit? - I looked at the G3 and Endless pads from Envy and they look very good so going to make some enquiries, also how do I get in touch with Chris Wilson? THANKS GUYS great help...
Nic
They will be the smaller spec brakes in that case. A pair of new OEM Toyota discs should cost you around £140. I can supply new TRD pads for £72 a set (per axle) inc postage. http://trdparts.jp/english/parts_brakepad-black.html
SILKYSMOOTH
Thanks Nic I will let you know on the pads, if i order them, how long for delivery? Toyota quoted me £83.85+vat each for rear discs and £80.48+vat each for front discs - £36.80 +vat for set of rear pads and 63.64 +vat for set of front pads. SILKYSMOOTH
The cheap price that I got was from Carbase UK, found these guys while browsing around. http://www.carbaseuk-japanesespares.co.uk/Promotions.htm They were very helpful on the phone, I would imagine for £130 for all the discs and pads delivered,. you would expect basic/standard quality for japanese parts. Wez
Do you really want to buy the cheapest brakes possible for a high performance car, brakes and tires are an area I am willing to spend a little more. The Toyota OEM stuff is very good, as are TRD, DBA and CW pads.
SILKYSMOOTH
Exactly, I agree, thats why I am holding on to find something good enough, besides I have a heavy foot so will need it in the long run...I may go for OEM discs and get some good pads. Just want them like NOW! However, for the price of the OEM discs, I think there could be the possibility of getting a disc with grooves or drilled holes for the same price or maybe a couple of quid extra. Wez
Do not get drilled discs as they are prone to cracking.
