Homer
Rob, have you considered bonnet louvres ala Ian C style? I have serious air intake temp issues and this is one option I'm exploring. Will probably chat to you more about this in the next few weeks
Guest CoolsBlue
id hate water getting into my engine bay to, would get one of a trader who has the vents blocked from underneath and meshed, looks great, and they dont let water in

n boost
Hello guys, Rob.... the attachment was my car. My mate cut the bonnet by drawing the outline and then using masking tape filling in the area of the vent, and cut around it using some special blade. You have to be carefull as u have some supports running under the bonnet.

Ben-san
Rob, remember Wayne's car, which was previously Ibrar's, with the oil relocation placed in the front quarter side vent? He still has this bonnet but with twins in now - one of the nicest asymmetrical cutouts I've seen.

Nic
Rob, how about fabricating some recessed vents from sheet aluminium to draw the air through similar the JUN bonnet. I've never wanted to fit a GRP or CF bonnet, but have thought about modifying the stock alu bonnet in a similar way. There may even be ready made aluminium vents available that you could get welded in. http://www.junauto.co.jp/products/aero-parts/jza80/aero-bonnet1.jpg http://www.junauto.co.jp/products/aero-parts/jza80/aero-bonnet2.jpg
RobSheffield
I've never wanted to fit a GRP or CF bonnet, but have thought about modifying the stock alu bonnet in a similar way. Yeah Nic, ill mod my own bonnet if i do anything at all. I have had a carbon bonnet, it didnt match/suit the black of my car, it would have to be painted and a GRP bonnet would weigh a ton
Guest Chumpalot
I'm glad it's not just me that thinks carbon bonnets look out of place on black cars.
