charlieboo
I have recently had my engine rebuilt. I removed and reinstalled it myself. To my joy, it started first time and ran like new. That was, until last night. Engine turns over, but she won't start. Crank & Cam sensors and coil packs are showing correct resistance. There is power to the ignitors, but no spark from plugs. I tried to bridge +B & FP on diagnostics port, but nothing. Speaker cable from positive on battery to FP turns on the fuel pump. +B on diagnostics port shows nothing. Water temp sensor shows nothing (was hot when checked) and there is no power at connector. My question is this, what can I check now? As she has run, I'm sure this is not the cause, but I have an extra earth strap (same as one on fuel filter). Where does this go? I recall it came from the back of the block, but from where is now a mystery.
charlieboo
Fixed. My FCD had become loose. I would still like to know where that second earth strap goes though?
Soonto_HAS_soop
There should be an earth from the back of the engine to the bulkhead.
