michael
Why are all my neighbours utter c0cks? Last night it was party fever, one lot singing with a guitar until midnight, another lot just being generally noisy. No big issue, I was only just going to bed. Then at 3am we had a power cut, normally this would go unnoticed but hardly any of them have working backup batteries in their house alarms, this means the alarm goes off for 30 minutes or so. On top of this some of them have crap car alarms that go off when the car hears the house alarm So back to sleep and then at 5am, family next door but one have a domestic with one of the kids in the street, seems the lad didn't want to get into a noisy diesel car that was outside. So lots of shouting, idling car for 20 minutes. Then we had another powercut around 6am, see above. 7:30 I get called out (I was supposed to be off call at 8am) so now I'm working but the power keeps going on and off so my router is up and down all the time. Looks like it's gonna be a good day Still at least the sun is shining. I really need to move back into the middle of nowhere again though, I hate having neighbours. I'm quite upbeat, might take a trip over to York Dragway, my Skoda goes back to the lease company on Thursday and I'm tempted to give it a bit of a thrashing

I'll be taking the wife an kids somewhere overpriced with little entertainment value, poor food and even worse service. Don't know where we are going yoet but I'm sure we'll find the above!! H. RedM
It was terrible here last night too. I was awoken in the early hours by the wind blowing through the trees and again, a few hours later, by birds waking up for a dawn chorus. It's a hard life. Pete
Makes you feel glad to have great neighbours in a quiet neighbourhood. I get really grouchy when I'm woken up. Recently there are a number of crows that have taken to gathering around the bedroom window in the early morning. Sccraaaaw scraaaaaw. Not nice. Horrible thing is all the tweety birds that sound nice are scared off.
