RedM
I'm going to get the car sorted this winter and drive to the Stelvio Pass next summer. What an awesome looking road. You can see it Google Maps here: http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=bormio&sll=45.801999,9.662476&sspn=0.528472,1.109619&ie=UTF8&ll=46.471916,10.37384&spn=0.261041,0.55481&z=11&om=1 Look for the SS38 north of Bormio. MMMM hairpins. Looks like a fair old trip but it's gotta be done.

Cable
Blimey! There is another pass similar to that featured in an old issue of Evo magazine, either in switzerland or Germany. I'll try and dig it out tomorrow.
pete_TT
Ive done Stelvio Pass a couple of times. Doing it again this year. My best descent time was around the 15min mark bearing in mind that a normal descent is about 25mins, oh and that was in a 1981 Honda accord 1.6 which i brought for £47. Over taking is not easy, and it is very hard on the brakes. The accords Brakes failed on the last corner, disks were cherry red and had to wait over an hour for them to cool down, but well worth it. ivan
Millau viaduct. Evo mag reckon the drive on the roads under that are much better. But hell, I'd just have to go over it at least once.
Jspec Germany
Meet? Google says it's 9 hours from my house. I bet I can do it in under 8. I've got new coilovers and a set of AP 6 pots coming soon too.

Here's a plan, we'll head down there and go across the bridge and then drive back along the roads underneath

Why was that no fun then?? I think that would be a great trip! Maybe a trip to the "Ring" would be better for getting to Stelvio then? *Goes off to look at Google maps* H.
