tDR
MonkeyMark - I think Toyo R888's should be noted on peoples entries on the list, be good to keep track of what kinda 60ft's people are getting on them since they're a sticky track tyre. Bobbeh - I think you'd have seen a good improvement in 60ft with a good bit of pressure dropped out your rear 888's, try dropping it in 5psi increments and see how you get on. Cheers, Brian. It's a soft compound tyre designed for grip and traction.... I'd say they're actually pretty similar to non wrinkle wall Drag Radials like the BFG's. As mentioned previously, MR2's getting 1.5sec 60ft's at Elvington on R888's - wonder if any of the MR2's at Supra Pod had them on and what their 60ft's were there? Cheers, Brian. Cheers, Brian. Brian, I was considering doing that but my Dad claimed he's seen me run a 13.4 time, so I was very happy with that and didnt think much more about lowering the pressures.. then when I got all my slips at the end of the day there was no 13.4! Oh well. Even so, when it hooked up it did launch me well with no noticeable wheel spin. I did shave 2 tenths of my previous best 60ft (on 285 Pirellis), so they did help a bit. TBH I dont think theres a great deal more to get out of the car in its current stock trim.
