Martin
The thing is, does it really matter if a tt is faster than a N/A? Surely it's about owning such a cool car, be it tt or n/a I bet there's not many of us who get to use there car's full potential anyway unless your going to do it on a track
JohnA
The thing is, does it really matter if a tt is faster than a N/A?.. It shouldn't, but apparently it does matter to some, so these threads get started and turn into 'us and them' inevitably They are long-running 'feuds' just like UKSpec vs JSpec, or TTs and singles All in good humour:d
TLicense
It clearly matters otherwise we would all have N/A's.
Matt _Aero top_
End of the day people have different reasons for owning either N/A's , TT's , Singles we all have different reasons for owning what we have . The way i see it is be proud of what you've got as its more than some .
JohnA
I remember the Dude was pretty contemptous when it came to N/As. Good fun. (what happened to that soul anyway, eh? any news?)
DaveK
There is never going to be an answer to "is the TT worth the extra money" - because it all depends what you want. For me - no it's not, because I don't want a TT. Money doesn't actually come into it - if they cost the same, I'd still have bought an NA. For many people, I guess it is - power is everything. DaveK
cuckoo As I say - it depends what people want from the car. It's my daily driver - and to be honest, over the winter even a RWD NA was a pain in the arse. I certainly wouldn't have wanted a turbo. The difference in price is not that siginificant anyway - mine is a 97 NA, so I paid just over £6K for it a year ago. Turbo prices don't start very far from that. Max Headroom
I couldn't decide between an NA or a TT, so I bought a Volvo

Homer
Dammit, I spent ages making this graph only to post it in the wrong thread! Here is Gav's 5 spd NA plotted against my BPU TT and T67 single. http://img165.imageshack.us/img165/733/rrhomernavsbpuvst67smalja1.jpg

I've asked for one but have had no responses Any chance you know anyone that has had one dyno'd at SRR? Did Graham ever do his when at 0.8 bar?
