Brief loss of power at WOT

Thought I'd got all the problems fixed with my car but something new showed up today:

Under hard acceleration (usually around 5k-5.5k rpm in 5th or slightly less rpm in 6th) the car seems to hesitate for a split second. The car will be accelerating as normal, then there is an abrupt loss of power which returns to full power after about half a second. There are no banging or popping noises, just a brief but completely loss of engine power.

The car runs fine otherwise, has some blue some at start-up but that’s 'normal'.

The only thing that seems to have changed lately is a rise in boost, before this week I'd never seen more than 1.05 bar but the recall is showing 1.35 bar now.

Any ideas what is causing this cut in power?

Cheers

Sort of like a present to all turbo owners from Mother Nature, she see's we have been working hard to make our cars go faster, and gave us a free mod for 4 months of the year....... :D

1.35 bar = 19.38PSi

Ah, that explains it. While the recall is showing 1.35 bar, the power cut seemed to actually happen at a slightly lower figure - around 1.2 bar.

Thanks to all for the replies
