Motorist admits speeding at 172 mph.

They said a Porsche 911 tubro would take 550m to stop from 172 and from the report tonight he tried it lol. Apparently the porker was wriggling he braked so hard. Brown trousers?

 

idiots...they should go to school and do some maths ;)

as colsoop alsready mentioned 997 Turbo stops in 99 feet from 60mph

1 feet is 0.3048 m, 99 feet = 30.17m

guy was doing 172mph, it is 2.86 times more

however the stopping distance is not gonna be 86.28m (30.7m x 2.86) & nowever near 550m :p

they should have invited math teacher to court :)

Other sources said 681 meters ffs!

 

Interesting, I've been at 190mph in a 996 and that only took 300 meters with plenty in reserve to stop.

 

I reckon an Aristo on twin pot j-specs, with 4 passengers and a boot full of luggage can stop from 172mph in under 681 meters.
