JohnA
My mate has ramps etc and all the tools, so I'm heading over there tomorrow Wish me luck! Good luck - although with a ramp and proper tools it's not that bad. Just hope he's got a replacement stud.

MarkR
Well.... just back from my mates. We manged to get the nut off without snapping the stud, but stripped the nut and fouled the thread on the stud. Luckily he had one of those turner things that cut the thread cleanly again and it all fitted fine. All I can say is - What a difference removing that front cat makes. The spool up time is greatly reduced and in this heat with the BOV off I still get 1 bar. Previously in the cold I was getting 0.9 bar. I reckon it'll get 1.1 in the cold. The response is much better! Thanks for all your help guys.
MarkR
Quite a bit noisier though, with a deeper throatier sound.
