I have been playing the demo for this game and i have to say i am impressed it has some very neat tocuhes and is certainly a unique take on the old fps.

Does anyone have the full game yet ? I see you can get it on steam, recommeded specs are quite high but it ran well on my medium spec rig:

7950 gt

dual core 6400

Darn it, I knew there was something I had to go and do today! I'll down load the demo for now

Apparently this one is a bugger to 'crack', the installation needs online verification to finish it (like HL2).

Looks like I need a new PC for it (may as well get ready for Crysis!)

Col Sweetie,

Less gaming, more chroming, theres a dear

:p

:D:D

I can't control the bank holidays Rob, even if i am working on them the chromer isn't :D

your medium spec pc sounds pretty beefy to me.

You should see the spec of some of the guys on here, i think Daston runs 2 8800 gt's in SLI !

I'll leave it a few months until it's on budget label for a tenner and my PC can cope with it then. :)

I already wizzed through the demo which is quite short considering the size of the demo and time it takes to DL it. :)

Good game, nice graphics. Runs sweet as a nut on my system.

Speaking of systems, I have now upgraded mine with a custom watercooling set-up, cooling the CPU and GFX.

Now running a 2.4ghz (E6600) at 3.8Ghz and the GFX (Norm 600/1800) at 675/1848

Damn it Gamer I am now going to have to play with my voltages! Managed to get my FX-62 up to 3.5ghz from 2.8 when I get my Danger den water block and pump I think I can get that up to around the 3.8-4.0 mark. Whats the best way of doing your gfx cards? Any idea if the 8800's are safe to OC?

I am using a Swiftech Apogee GTX (slightly bowed) on the CPU and an EK8800GTX full cover block on the Graphics card. The 8800 is easily overclockable with a good block.

EK blocks

My cooling loop consists of the following:

Apogee GTX > EK8800GTX > Swifteck Micro Res > D5 laing Pump > Thermochill PA120.3 Radiator

All housed in it's own external case that sits above my system. (apart from the blocks of course) :)

Thats a nice set up. I am currently running a Kandalf tower. Its a bit of a squeeze with 2 8800's but I am going to give it an overhaul next month

Going to put the resevior into a floppy disk bay and make a braket up for the pump so that can sit up on a CD bay. I was thinking of getting 2 pumps and reseviors 1 for my CPU and 1 for the gfx cards

Probably a good idea to have two separate loops as you say, considering the amount of heat put out by the 88's and your CPU, assuming that you are using a small radiator. Saying that though the Thermochill pa 120.3 rad would be sufficient to cool both your cards and the CPU on the same loop. The only problem with it is finding the space as it is quite large. You can mount it on the back of the case or even on the top or do as I have done and use an external case to house all the bits.

Just for your info the EK blocks can easily be used in an SLI config. ;)
