imi
Hey guys. Looking for the cheapest way to manage TWO SIM cards with the same number for personal use. Will drop one phone into a merc to integrate into the phone system and use the 2nd on hand. Any ideas? recommendations? costs?

stevie_b
didnt know you could have two sims with the same number? 2 SIM cards in the same phone, fine. But AFAIK 2 SIMs can't have the same number.
Burna
I had a chat with Orange about this about a year ago. They told me it was going to be intruduced soon But at first it would be only available for business customers. I haven't chased them up since so I don't know if they did go ahead. Sorry Imi just realised all the above is of no help whatsever If I get chance I'll look into it more today for you.

Perhaps they've ditched the idea now though since I expect most newer Mercs etc will use Bluetooth Sim-access and just work with your existing handset. Nathman
Vodafone did do this a while ago, it was called multi Sim and I believe was only available to business customers. None of my customers have asked for it recently, so I am not sure if they still do it. Used to be about £5 per month on top of your usual rental. ivan
Orange do indeed do this. Designed for the businessman with a massive PDA for the daytime and a slimline evening phone to slip in his dinner jacket pocket.
imi
hmm - apparently its a business only feature (orange). wonder what other networks offer this to residential users.
