i had a company phone me up to day saying that i ve been over charged at my bank and that they owe me money. they are something to do with the govement and want to get my money back for me they are going to send me a info pack but first they need a fee of £59 to pay there solicitors before they can do this.

SCAM : You don't have to pay anyone (Except for the small claims courts) to claim back your charges, except there's a big chance it'll have a stay put on it by the courts...

There are companies who will claim your ££ back for you, but most do a 'no win no fee' service, and usually the fee is the amount of interest accrued on your charges, which they're allowed to claim for in court...

No way would a reputable company ask for you to send them nearly £60 for an 'info pack'...

i think i will then, i've almost filled out the paper work anyway.

i did (in a moment of weakness) call them the other week to accept there original offer of £700 odd (true amount £1500) but they said they can't do anything as i've registered it with the courts, i think the reason they said this is because i said in my last letter that if i didn't hear back in 14 days i would go to court, so i guess they just asumed that's what i did. I told them i hadn't actually done it yet but they said they have no control now and it's in the hands of there solicitors and i need to contact them. But you can't actually call them, only write.... balls to em

see you in court mr HSBC manager bloke :D
