Matt Harwood
Does anyone know where the main control unit is for the standard UK spec alarm system? In the interests of security, please mail me direct rather than reply on here.... Not that I don't trust anybody on here, but anyone can read it. Thanks in advance. Branners
while on the subject of the standard UK alarm, my old mkiii had full closure on the stock alarm, does anybody know if the mkiv alarm is supposed to have full closure as well? JB
Matt Harwood
Not that I've ever seen John. But if you can get an old Clifford Smart windows 1 or 2, you could link that to your system and gain one touch up/down on both windows as well as window closure. Guest Martin F
Do you mean full closure as in including windows ? Or automatically lock the doors ?
Branners
Including the windows. JB
Guest Martin F
Would be nice. I guess as Matt says any generic window closure unit could be rigged up to work.

Guest Martin F
That's only if your MKIII has a factory fit alarm.

Mine has a tendancy to go off and I'm wondering if there's a gain setting on the unit somewhere. Also I have to stand right next to it for the remote to work. I've put a new battery in but this is a pain 'cause when the alarm goes off I have to leg it out of the house right up to the car door and blip it. I'm sure my neighbours just think I'm a sad c/&t after attention for my new car or something.
