ultra_supra
hi all, chattin to a fella i work with the other day we got onto the subject of insurance & how he insures his 15yr old merc with a company who specialise in insuring old 'classic' cars i.e 13+ yrs old...& gets it a shed-load cheaper. I was just curious if anyone on here insures their car like that or if its worth it?
Pete
If on limited mileage then yes, it's very worth it. Don't expect it for a daily driver though.

DaveK
I insure the 964 as a classic car - as Pete says, on limited mileage. I'd still question the term "cheap" though. It cost me just over £400 (today in fact) - and I think that if it was my daily car with full NCD it would be about £700. But of course, they don't consider NCD on classic limited mileage policies, so I get to use that on the Supra. Edit : Most limited mileage classic policies are max 5K. One or two are 6K - don't know of any that are more.

Yeah - how glad am I that I decided to buy a motorcycle again this summer. I think I've ridden it 3 times. Still - that's also on a low mileage policy (2K I think) and was only about £150 I think.
