Lewis
Waste tax payers money being on the internet all day?! That's a bit harsh considering you have no idea what he is doing isn't it?! As has been said above, doug has always seemed very fair and offered his professional and personal opinion with good objectiveness. I would hate to think he ever chose not to bother because of idiots who get caught doing something wrong and then make sarcastic comments about a 3rd parties judgement. You ask for opinion and get it from one of the best placed people to comment and then argue At the end of the day Matt, you got caught committing an offense and whether you (or anyone here) disagrees with it makes no difference except to your pride. I'm sorry you feel hard done by but it's a lot better than the alternative accident you could have caused. Just my opinion
Matt H
And if you don't like the answers you're getting, why ask the question? The question was is it as bad as other offences worth 3 points, we went off topic to should i have got 3 points and a fine ages ago
Matt H
That's a bit harsh considering you have no idea what he is doing isn't it?! it was a joke Lewis! anyway he seems to be spending alot of time of this website what ever he should be doing instead
Lewis
it was a joke Lewis! anyway he seems to be spending alot of time of this website what ever he should be doing instead Fair enough, obviously I didn't read it like that so Doug may not have either. IF Doug wishes to justify his amount of time on here I think that's up to him. How it is any of your business I don't understand.....or should I be waiting for the "I pay taxes so pay your wages" line that always goes down so well when conversing with the queens peacekeepers?! Matt H
I'm sorry you feel hard done by but it's a lot better than the alternative accident you could have caused. There was no issue of an accident. I was in the wrong for parking where i did but there was no chance of an accident occuring at that time! How it is any of your business I don't understand I dont care Lewis, your right it is up to him. but when you say your doing something far more worth while and it appears you always on the supra website i think your leaving yourself wide open for a joke. Perhaps harse, but then again i dont like it when someone that makes out there really fair and just implies your a twat

Perhaps harse, but then again i dont like it when someone that makes out there really fair and just implies your a twat As I said, if you were joking then fair enough, I've known Doug long enough to know he can take a joke with the rest of us. You were a twat mate (in the nicest possible way). You did something illegal (whether the legality agrees with you or not) and you got a brown envelope through the door. I really can understand why you may think it is unfair as you probably know the area really well and obviously you feel that the possibility of an accident etc was non existant. The copper was rightfully doing his job though and I can't see how that is arguable?! I don't see people arguing this much when doing 100 down an empty motorway and getting pulled. I really don't see this as any better. It's black and white to me but then it's easy for me to judge behind my computer screen. I would imagine there is an appeals process, if you feel so strongly hard done by, can you not appeal to court?

Gazboy
Er... that's my point... like the parking, it doesn't make sense. 49 in a 30 is much more dangerous than 96 on a motorway. The 30 zone offence IS dealt harsher than the motorway offence, I got done in late 2002 for doing 97 on a motorway and got 3pts & £60 fine. I'm fairly sure 49 in a 30 is atleast 4 points, do it at 3.30pm on a monday afternoon infront of a flesh and blood copper and you'd be done for. Class One
Waste tax payers money being on the internet all day?! I've been absent from work since May 29th owing to a disability related illness. During that time I've been recuperating and spending my time on here helping with the running of the club, and taking the burden off some of the other mods who do this in their own time. I return to work at the end of this week. I never ever visit the site whilst I am at work. Using an internet portal at work for a non business related purpose is a sackable offence, so I'm only on here in my time, not the taxpayers. I'm a tax payer too btw.
