DannoSupra
Me and the missus are going up to look at a Jap TT next weekend. Not the guy said that when the car was in japan the turbo's were working fine. But it's been standing for 3-4 months. And now Both the turbo's aint spooling up. What could cause this? He's given me the worse case senario of the tubby's seized, But... I dunno, you guys are the experts What do i need to check if im to go and view this? http://www.japperformanceuk.co.uk/jap/details.php?id=75 (he's dropped it down to £4995) Cheers
Class One
I would say walk away and look at another car.
Konrad
yeah that, you have better chance to buy something proper by going to auction and search a little for similiar or lower price.
SupraAyf
Is there no forum member in your area/ the Bradford area that can go up with you and inspect the car. It seems mighty cheap (£4995) for what you are getting:rolleyes:
Steve
As above mate, walk away. There will be other cars that are fully working
Branners
if its from a dealer its also worth bearing in mind they give nothing away. Its their livelihood getting the absolute maximum for a car and if they are willing to drop £2k off the price then theres a good chance they have checked the car over and cannot fix the problem for less than £2k. If you are really willing to take a chance then barter them down even further saying that stock turbos from Toyota will be £1.5k plus fitting etc. But as others have said, walk away and find a decent car that looks straight. Talk to Jurgen and see what he can imported for your money as well. JB
